Amazing location right by the water, close to all the sights and with a beautiful river view. Plus, there are plenty of shops and great restaurants around - what more could you ask for? 🌊

I stayed at HORIZON CLUB Room (Shangrila - Harbin) for 3 nights (5 August - 8 August 2011). Trust me....it is just too expensive. The room is small and the service is not good. One day I went to the CLUB LOUNGE to get some water. I took 2 small bottles of water. The price of that kind of water is only like 3-4 RMB in the supermarket per bottle, which extremely cheap. But guess what.....one of the staff noticed it, and when I got back to my room, they called me and said I could not do that. What even worse is that I had to return the water. O my God....I could not believe that. I paid USD& 300 per night for that CLUB ROOM and I could take 2 bottles of water worth 6-8 RMB ?? Believe or not.....that is what I experienced at Shangrila - Harbin. I stayed at SOFITEL WANDA HARBIN Hotel before. It was cheaper than Shangrila, and the room was a lot bigger and more comfortable. The location of Sofitel (next to a big shopping centre) is better than Shangrila. I will not stay at Shangrila -Harbin anymore for sure.

Staff was good, I didn't want to leave!
Quiet and opulent room with a beautiful view of harbin was enjoyable. The venue was in a central location next to gardened footpath all the way there and the river. It was just a short walk away from Pizza Hut, serving fast food.

Good service Good rooms
Breakfast poor. Bread old and stale, no cheese. Crowded. I was given dirty table Internet connection in my room first worked then went off in the evening. In the morning I had to call IT staff and it took them an hour to enable me to get back online.

I was actually surprised by the fine river view from my room at Shangri-La. The sight of the flowing river was so tranquil and added a touch of serenity to my stay. The proximity to the shopping area was also a huge plus, as I was able to easily explore the nearby stores and indulge in some retail therapy. The room itself was tidy and clean, with a spacious and comfortable bed that provided a great night's sleep. I must also mention Fiona Xie at the front desk, whose really good service ensured a smooth check-in and check-out process. The staff's attentiveness even extended to providing umbrellas during rainy days. Although the minibar was locked, it was mentioned that it was free to use, a nice addition. my two-night experience was completely satisfying.

We recently spent four nights at Shangri-La in Harbin. The service was top-notch and the riverside view from our room was breathtaking, especially overlooking the Ice World. The breakfast and dinner options at the coffee garden restaurant were delicious, and the separate cheese plate we received each day was a thoughtful touch. Special thanks to Diana for her kindness. The staff at the Horizon Club Lounge, particularly Jessica and Charles, went above and beyond to help us with a PC and internet connection when we needed to rebook our next hotel. We also greatly appreciated the assistance from the concierge team in resolving transportation issues. an excellent hotel with great food, located just a short walk from shops and restaurants.
Would recommend this hotel.

The hotel was conveniently located for visiting the Ice Festival, with the coffee garden team cooking the selected food right on the shoreline. The rooms were spacious and well-maintained, providing a comfortable stay. The friendly staff provided excellent service throughout our stay. The breakfast offered a satisfying variety of options to cater to different palates. Additionally, the hotel had facilities such as an upper lounge and buffet restaurant, enhancing the overall experience.
The hotel lacked the cosiness and ambiance of other comparable hotels.

The hotel's location was perfect, with easy access to the ice festival area by taxi. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, particularly Alan Wang and Charly Xu, who went above and beyond to ensure my friends and I had rooms on the same floor. The view from the river side of the hotel was impressive, and the room was quiet and comfortable. the service at Shangri-La was top-notch, with a well-trained and friendly staff who spoke English fluently.

The room was spacious and well-appointed. The mini bar was included in the room charge. The hotel set up an Ice Palace and Ice Bar during the Winter Season, a unique and enjoyable experience. The hotel is conveniently located next to the Songhua River Bridge and close to the CBD. Public transport and taxis are easily accessible. It only takes 10 minutes, without traffic, to reach attractions like Sun Island Scenic Park and Ice and Snow Fairy Land. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was good.
Nothing not to love! The hotel exceeded my expectations in every way.

The hotel is well-managed with a friendly and helpful staff. The location is fantastic, overlooking the river and just a short walk away from shops and restaurants. The breakfasts were a highlight, offering a wide variety of delicious options. The rooms were quiet and comfortable, and the evening live music and bar food were a great way to unwind after a day of exploring. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough!

Located in a great spot for winter activities, the hotel is conveniently close to the Ice and Snow Festival. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are modern, which was a pleasant surprise. I also appreciated the availability of a humidifier/moisturizer upon request.
The Ice Palace restaurant was a letdown, with a local setting and lackluster service. Additionally, some aspects of the hotel need updating, such as the room I stayed in, which had a worn-out bath and an unreliable door knob.
